Computer Hub UK is looking for a skilled and reliable IT Technician / Technical Support Associate to join our growing team. This role is ideal for someone with strong hands-on technical experience, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to manage day-to-day repair and IT support operations.
The successful candidate will support both our retail repair services and business IT support/MSP clients. You must be confident in diagnosing and repairing computers, managing support tickets, dealing with customer complaints professionally, supporting staff, and helping with stock control and ordering.
Key Responsibilities
– Diagnose, repair, and maintain laptops, desktops, PCs, Macs, and other IT equipment.
– Provide technical support to business clients, including remote and onsite IT support.
– Manage repair tickets from start to finish, ensuring customers are kept updated.
– Support MSP clients with general IT support, troubleshooting, updates, backups, antivirus, email, Microsoft 365, networking, and device management.
– Manage and support junior staff, apprentices, and technicians where required.
– Allocate jobs to technicians and monitor repair progress.
– Order parts, accessories, and stock when required.
– Keep accurate records of repairs, customer updates, stock movement, and completed jobs.
– Deal with customer complaints calmly and professionally.
– Test repaired devices before returning them to customers.
– Maintain a clean, organised, and professional working environment.
– Ensure company procedures, data protection, and customer service standards are followed.
Required Skills and Experience
– Strong hands-on experience repairing laptops, desktops, and IT hardware.
– Good knowledge of Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, email setup, printers, backups, antivirus, and networking.
– Experience in IT support, technical support, computer repairs, or MSP support.
– Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues confidently.
– Good communication and customer service skills.
– Ability to manage repair tickets and work under pressure.
– Good organisational skills and attention to detail.
– Ability to support and supervise other staff when needed.
– Experience dealing with customer complaints professionally.
– Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
– Experience working in an MSP environment.
– Knowledge of routers, switches, Wi-Fi troubleshooting, servers, and business networks.
– Experience with remote support tools.
– Experience managing stock, ordering parts, and supplier communication.
– Apple Mac repair experience.
– Data recovery or secure data wiping experience.
